I am considering a Mamiya 65mm f6.3 lens for their press camera.
I have been told that it will not fit all the Mamiya Press cameras as it is an early lens. It appears to fit the Mamiya Standard and 23 Standard.

Questions: Is this a good lens? Is the Standard model press camera worth having or does the lens suit other Mamiya Press types?

I am a little confused about this.

Hi Peter, I got the 65mm lens as part of my Mamiya Press kit, and it works just fine. Of course, that doesn’t mean that it fits all bodies, but no problem on mine. I’ve never heard of that issue. I have only used it a few times, as I use the 50mm more often for wide needs. But, the 65mm performed quite well in my opinion. Hope this helps.

Just found the answer to my question.
All Mamiya Press lenses are interchangeable with all the Press bodies except the Mamiya/Polaroid 600SE camera - this camera has its own specific lens mount and only three lenses to suit, a 75mm, 127mm and 150mm.

Thanks to all who replied.

Cheers
