Mamiya TLR Sample photos

I am slowly scanning my way through my negatives from a Mamiya TLR. I bought the camera used in May, 1969. A friend and I think it was a C3something based on a photo of me holding the camera. I know for a fact the lens was the standard 80/2.8 from that period.

So, without further ado, let's start a Mamiya TLR samples gallery. In my haste, I didn't search to see if such exists already. If so, I'll move my sample. more to come as I get them scanned.

The film is AGFA L ISS. I don't recall the developer used. Scanned with an Epson 1680 at 2,400 SPI. Zero post-processing except to convert the TIFF file to a web size JPEG.

I have a C220 (had it for 20 years) and have always found it was a great rig with sharp!!!! lenses....but doesn't seem to get the respect it deserves IMO. I will dig out some pics and scan them tomorrow.

Hi folks,

As an owner of Mamiya TLR, I am sorry to tell you that despite your pics look very good they don't start to scratch the begining of quality of the Mamy TLR glass. It is not your fault. Just scann at 3500 x 3500, upload it at flickr, and give us the link.

Show the lyon instead of a pussycat.

i have that same set of chairs found them in some brush in the back yard . nice pictures to.

I have a collection of about 10 of those old metal chairs, though the ones in the photo I posted are not from my collection. I got them all at garage sales for anywhere from 2 to 10 dollars each.

yeah i dig them . i was clearing some brush in the yard and i came across 2 of these chairs and 10 tomato cages . i will have to refinish my 2 they are pretty rusty but it's only surface rust . i check your website and saw some more of them . nice photos too .

Some of them on my website are ones I found at places I photographed and some are my grandpa's chairs, which i used to carry around in a pickup truck, when I had a truck.

Grandpa's chairs in color, shot with a Nikon F4s and 50mm f1.4 AF-Nikkor. They're sitting by his house in this shot.

Here they are several years after the first shot. This was done with a Nikon D70. Notice the cat, she's now 18 yrs old! The chairs are much rustier now.

You'll find this set of chairs in color and black and white all over my site.

Here they are in black and white, and in keeping with the Mamiya TLR topic, they were done with the C330f and 80mm Mamiya lens.

those look about the condition mine are in hopefully i can fix em' up . i dug the red o set on your website and the story about the old farmer with the cats . i use to enjoy poking around old farm houses as a teenager but most of them have been torn day to make way for new developments . some of the old ones it's like the people just got up and left everything . wild stuff for some great photos .

sorry for jacking your thread about tlr's but you gotta admit those are some nice chairs 🙂
