I remember when I was living in the UK, I had just moved down to London in the late 70’s
I went down to speakers corner on a Sunday. There were all types of people there standing on crates, spouting off rubbish and interesting stuff. Well I was clicking one of the weirder speakers and suddenly noticed this Japanese looking young man with a black Nikon F2AS, he was working the same man as myself. So I started to work on him while he was working on the speaker.
It was my dream camera back then but I had never seen one in the flesh before. The BW Negatives came out great. I need to find them and possibly print a couple.
I had been considering on buying one but just because I can, does not mean I should. Hasselblad, Leicas, Rolleiflex’s, Zeiss Super Ikontas and recently a Voigtlander Perkeo I obviously have more than enough cameras and I did not mention my grandfathers and fathers, one being a Newman and Guardia of significant value. I was exercising my Leica M6 last night, going through the shutter speeds, I do this with all of my stuff periodically and it takes time !!!
I remember John Wayne was once asked how many horses he had, he replied
“You can not ride two horses with one ass“
