March, Nikon RF Month!

That's such a stylish and wonderful kit. Though I might point out my 35SP lens is (marginally) faster :D

I'm still stunned that Nikon redid these. Amazing commitment to their heritage.

Harsh light and the Fomopan 100 looks like copy film.

Such miserable weather I've had to go back to 400 iso film so HP5+ for these.
Just liked the light on the metal roof on a dull day, light can always surprise.

This is my standard for close up distortion testing of a lens, easier to "read" than a brick wall and not as boring. Yes it is straight in real life. And yes I did centre it, but then forgot about the parallax correction, or rather the lack of it.

Suddenly, realising I had loaded 400 iso, out pops the sun.

Nikon S3 Olympic/ Voigtlander 21mm f4 SC Skopar/Leitz 21mm finder.

Switch from longer glass, been using the 85mm f2, to wide the 21mm CV.
Took a while to find the finder but then remembered I had put them in a "safe place" all together.

This Nikon Rangefinder Month thing need the occasional break. Sun came out, +13 C and a stop at our local pizza supplier, a dry italian white and their excellent "potato" pizza - thin slides of potatoes, some cheese and oil and sitting on the patio in the sun.
Tuulikki took the picture with her Lumix G1 and Voigtlander Nokton 17,5 mm f0,95 - and the camera is a Nikon S3 Olympic, Nikkor 35mm f1.8 SP 2005 version. Doesn't get much better than this!

No Tom it does not, but I hope the owner of that SP #0539 doesn't see this pictures, they will be coming after you...
:)

Now, I am done with my test roll, I have to get the roll processed, while we are waiting for that, I will put up a picture I took with my back-up camera, it is a Nikon so it's a descendant of the Nikon Rangefinder...

A few more. These are huts built under the train bridges and along the embankment by homeless people along the banks of the Tama River (Kawasaki side) that separates Tokyo from Kawasaki City.

According to Rotoloni, there were only three black versions of the S3, the "regular" one, the Olympic and the Millennium. What else did they paint black?
The original owner of the SP 2005 only wanted a body, not the lens - which was fine by me.

Great Shots! What Film?

Great Shots! What Film?

To Jon,

Such lovely images! I may've missed it noted in there, but what film did you use?

And to everyone else: Keep the shots coming!

Y'all have inspired me. I'm presently shopping around for a Nikon myself.
