I find the Fomopan hard to pin down, sometimes I get really nice results other times not so nice. Doesn't seem related to the light or exposure.

That shows off the net much better Tom, what about the VC ASPH on the same subject? Just finished some rolls on that lens but in COLOUR !!!, up next week when I pick them up. Thought the thread was a bit monochromatic.

To TomA, any noticeable focus shift issues with the Sonnar? I really like Zeiss glass, as a rule on my Leicas, but am just now delving into the Nikon mount.
Just wondering, thanks.
By the way, to yourself and all the photographers posting, fabulously inspiring photos! And to Chris, I anxiously look forward to the color shots.
Please! Keep them coming!

Another wet and miserable day, who chose March for Nikon rangefinder month
So resorted to an inside shoot but as my close work in Nikon rangefinder kit is limited, to zero, I had to mount up the F4 which had a set of batteries in for a change. This is my full set of Nikon rangefinder fit glass, heavy on the 50mms as you always tend to get a 50mm with each body, best excuse yet? Less one because the 35mm f1.8 I have been using a lot is now out on a short, emphasis on the short, term loan.
Nikkor 55mm f3.5 taking lens well stopped down f22 self timer on tripod Acros 100 in TD-201, you can't say that developer isn't versatile.

I have not noticed a focus shift with the C Sonnar 50 - it remains my favourite 50. I would need to do some more f1.5 and f2.8 shots with it - and at closer distances to see if there any shifts. Mine is one of the last - if not the last of these made - so I have to assume that Zeiss might have gotten it right in the end.

Chris, you are missing a 28mm f3.5 Nikkor! Great lens on a SP too. Weighs only 90-100 grams.

I think I have commented before that I tend to take more verticals with the Nikon than the Leica rangefinders, and I do take a fair number of verticals. If you look through "The Americans" and who hasn't, Robert Frank was a bit of a verticals man as well. Not that I draw any conclusions or comparisons.
Some Fomopan in FX-39, drying as we speak, following a prompt in another thread on FX-37. Hoping for good results with the Fomopan in that soup it is one of those films that TD-201 doesn't seem to get on very well with. a short list.

Well the FX-39 is in. Not good, 1+5 for 7 mins Fomopan 100 is NOT the sweet spot. 1+9 next time let's not over react. Rescued some shots for the month shoot and always good to post what doesn't work as well as those that do.

The birds are looking actively now so a new box goes up, and adds interest to the test wall.
Advertising sign weights, all that was left after the last storm, the signs are probably in Yorkshire.

It was a nice day here in the Portland OR area. Lots of people out enjoying the nice spring weather which make it a good day for some street photography.

The Fompan 100 has a PET base which can be susceptible to light piping. Making a shot into strong sunshine for a flare test I managed to provoke this at the frame edge. Some halation as well.
