March, Nikon RF Month!

The early spring weather here in Yokohama has been great for the last few days, so I loaded up my SP 2005 with a roll of Kodak ProFoto 100, attached my Nikkor-S 5cm F1.4 which just arrived back from an extended trip to Australia (now that I think about it I originally got this lens from Keith in Australia!), and went for a wander around the neighbourhood. Here's a few shots from that roll.

The cherry blossoms are starting to bud.

Covered car parking. This one was taken at f/1.7 hence the slight Nikkor glow.

Enjoying the last couple pages, seeing some new shots. I've been gone for a week up in the mountains...shot 12 rolls of film with my SP, so I'll be busy in the darkroom this week and probably next and look forward to posting some here! I also have 11 rolls of 120 and 40 sheets of 4x5 to do! 🙂

Delta 400 (old stuff too).
I want to say HC110, but I've also been playing with some left over Accufine when I was processing this and a few other rolls. So it could be either one.
Note - this was taken just at the tail end of dusk and I've played with the contrast.

I like that - a certain "Third Man" look to it. Which film and developer?

C41 is in, some OOD Kodak Portra 400, how far out I have no idea, no boxes (to save packing room) left but a few years. After B/W suddenly there is colour everywhere, so lets kick off with the next best colour for photographers, yellow, red later.

You know I went window shopping yesterday, and I was checking out a nice Leica
M6 it was nice but naa!, I'll keep the Nikon S3 there's something wonderful about them
all and all the results that I see above prove it.

Very nice, especially (tongue in cheek) for Tri-X, liking the composition always difficult with so many angles to choose from.

Thanks Chris. I have struggled with Tri-X for a while but I think Acufine really gives me what I want with it...I can develop it shorter for lower contrast and nicer tones or longer for high-speed, low-light, and it's pretty forgiving. That said, if I don't need the speed I'd rather shoot T-Max 100.

Some images from "Arch Rock" in the Smoky Mountains. Both of these are stitched images as I didn't have a wider lens on me. Wasn't expecting such an awesome formation. I want to camp at this spot some time and bring the 4x5.
