This has been a burning question for a long time, 'Who are the master printers of both black and white and color in the world?'
I know of two, Jim Megargee of http://www.mvlabs.com/ and Robin Bell of http://www.robinbell.com/
Where are the others in Asia/Australia, Europe, Russia, etc...?

For those who did not click on this link, I suggest you do. There is a great little video on the English homepage that shows her printing process. Very cool.

We in Vancouver are lucky that we have Trevor Martin here. He is a Master Printer - I am not 1/2 bad in a darkroom and could probably get to within 90% of what Trevor could do - but it is those last 10% that sets a Master print apart from a just plain one.

thanks! pardon my lack of french but I have 2 questions on the video:
a. what is the purpose of using a paint brush / cotton bud on the photos during or before the wash ?
b. what is the machine right at the end of the video.
thanks again for sharing .i am currently enrolled in a silver printing class and i find the whole process fascinating.
thanks

I believe the brush and cotton bud are used to apply a bleach to bring back highlights and lighten areas. Have way through the video while washing the print of the children around the light she goes in with the fine cotton bud and lightens the whites of their eyes. Very good video.
