Medium format and fridges

Here's results of a search for 220 film at B&H: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/con...xp=0.0&bl=&sb=bs,upper(ds)&sq=asc&fi=all&pn=2

Seems like plenty of choices from Fuji and Kodak. I use a little Tri-X in 220, a moderate amount of Fuji NPH 400 and quite a lot of Fuji NPZ 800. I'll usually get it short-dated on eBay for a nice price, and stash it in the freezer, with a pro-pack or two in the main part of the fridge as I use it.

I have not seen any colors go off on this "pro" stuff even if outdated a year or so by the time I use it. I HAVE seen outdated "consumer level" Kodak film drift to a magenta tint for light areas and green/cyan for darker tones, impossible for a Photoshop klutz like me to fix.

Even in 645 format, 15 or 16 exposures isn't all that much on a trip or shooting a project, so I definitely prefer the 30 or 32 exposures available in 220. (The Bronica RF and Fuji GA both do 16/32 while my old Fuji GS645S only gives 15/30 exp.)

The Yashica Mat 124 is definitely a good MF to start off with. I highly recommend it.

I found a supposedly mint 124G for £99 which sounded like a fair price for me. As a result, this will be my entry into the world of MF!
