hi guys
i am new to mf
in any case, i was wondering
1) are there such a thing as prepaid mailers for mf film?
2) where can i send mf film for development? (bw or chrome or negative)
3) where can i get mf film for a good price?

thanks guys

1) and 2) Yes. You might try A&I in LA (mailers), or Praus in Rochester, NY (send it in).
3) You can try Ebay for expired film lots, which is what I largely do, or www.freestylephoto.biz, where many rffers shop for film, among other places...

Another way to cut cost is to finally start developing yourself. I know it's been said around here a lot, but if you have the ability it is the ultimate way to control *everything* about your photographic process. It also allows you to know exactly who screwed up when something doesn't go right. :D

My local lab actually charges the same price for a 12 on 120 roll (6x6) as they do for a 12 exp roll of 35mm. Pretty cheap, takes a couple days for them to fit it in when they can change the machine over, but a good price.

Also, freestylephoto.biz has good prices on film for their house brand (arista).

That may not be a good thing  Because what if you don't know WHY you screwed up?! :p

Jobo CPE 2 is film developing machine that controls temp etc....It handles all the chems instead of doing all the agitating and developing by hand. They are all over Ebay for a few hundred dollers in several differnet versions.
