Like Douglas, I was surprised by LHSA's pretty-high additional fees for events/outings.

So I agree we should charge LHSA members for an evening with Real Local Photographers.

We could call this an escort service, but limit the fondling to cameras?

to put on outings LHSA needs lots of insurance.

and there might not be a LHSA.

By the way, I noticed that as the evening went along, the heavy metal film folk gravitated to one side of the tables, the digitized folk on the other. Always delighted to catch up with Tuulikki and Tom, after first meeting in Paris 15 years ago. The camera connection has been my passport to meeting fellow obsessives in person on four continents. Props to Kent for serving as honcho, and pleased to report nothing but legal behavior by the RFFers in attendance (nobody noticeably off their meds).
