I'm still getting to know my new bessa r3a. I've noticed that sometimes both 1 and 2000 blink slowly. What's this supposed to mean? I've read the manual, and no indication as to what this means is there...

Any clues=?

Batteries about to keel over!

Don't know how long they'll last. Happened once and I couldn't finish the roll. Happened again a couple of weeks ago and the camera's still going and the blinking hasn't come back yet. Probably down to whether it's cold or not. But the batteries are small enough to carry spares or easy enough to find if you don't.

Quite strange, the batteries are new (less than a month old) and the camera has seen just a few rolls use (no more than 4). And the blinking has not come back since the other day. Weird.

I had the same.
But then the blinking came back a few weeks later in the mountains. Still i went through 2 rolls like that and results look fine.
Then it came back again and i barely could finisha roll.
I will have to change them soon, no way out.
Mine were also not too old, a few months only.

I had this problem once as well. About 2-3 weeks back when I was using my R3A for a friend's wedding.

1 & 2000 were blinking, I assumed the batteries were pretty much going to be drained, change the batteries, problem never did came back..
