Meters

Looking for a basic meter that will provide reflective and incident metering that won't cost an arm and a leg.

Doesn't have to have all the bells and whistles either.

I have a slew of gossen meters, but I need to go through them and mod them for silver oxide batteries, they are all mercury powered gossen..
I'll see what it will take to get one going for you if you can wait a week or so. Maybe less if I get lucky.

In case something fail (which I doubt, but it's always good to have a plan B), there's always the Sekonic L-208: very small, reads incident and reflected, and it kinda looks cute but professional still.

Any more meters to spare, Clintock? 😉

On a suggestion from a few members at a Toronto RFF meeting I purchased a Sekonic L-308s....a bit pricey but well worth it, it goes everywhere now.

I use a Voigtlander VCII ..... To read incident I do the read off the back of the hand trick and it seems ok for reflected! Good meter and looks kind of neat stuck on the top of a camera in the accessory shoe. Apparrently you can get a clip and cord to hang it round your neck!

Tomorrow I'll rife through my meters and see what I have and which ones can rejoin the living. I bought a lot from a closing store, mostly they got shelved because of the mercury batts, and the customers walked out with fresh little digisix.
Analog needle having things I have..a couple of models with right angle finders on them, to show what the spot meter cell is looking at.

Sorry no Digisix tho.. gotta Lunasix though, luna pro..
I'll post here with updates as to what if anything works and calibrates..

I use the VC shoe mount meter. Th e original version. I picked it up for 80 bucks and it work like a chairm.
