Might be doing a show next month -what is sellable?

Ive been doing amateur street photography for the last 2 or so years. Basically I just bring the camera with me and take pics a long the way.

I got invited to do a show but I wonder what pictures if any are sellable.


I would appreciate if any of you could go through my blog or my photo stream and tell me what pictures you think could make any money.

I like taking pictures of people the most but that's probably the hardest thing to sell.

if i were you...

i would use the street portraits combined with some not so portraits - like the guy up against the grafitti wall - so as to have a theme approach to the show.

Honestly, I wouldn't go in thinking about selling. I'd think about what would be your most complete set of work that works in that setting.

I am with jsrockit on this. You should not start a gallery show with sales being the first priority. Try to tell a story with the photos. Make it a cohesive body that people will enjoy looking at the set as a whole. Then, 30 years down the road when everyone knows your name, start doing shows for the sole reason of selling prints.
