Well, as annoying as you might find her (and I do as well), right now she's making $80,000 on her N80 camera. Ebay's got to be loving this because their cut is going to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Maybe it's just another means for her to get her presence out there. She would have known damned well that the press would pick up on this after her tweet.

She did delete the tweet. She's a kid and kids make mistakes. That's why they're kids. Could be she thought she was honestly just promoting her ebay sale without realizing, "Hey, I'm famous and there are crazy people out there."

Meh. She probably had the offer on ebay and thought her fans may be interested. I doubt she expected - or anyone would expect - the price to shoot up that high. On the other hand, I have to imagine a bunch of people are trying to figure out how to hack celebrity to post links to ebay ads. Imagine how high random items from bigger names go for?

I don't care about her one way or the other but tearing up a 20 year old about doing something stupid seems like a waste of time. I'm glad my bad decisions from that age weren't nationally televised. And that I wasn't surrounded by people trying to make money off of my image. Not sure how many survive growing up in that environment.

If Cyrus didn't do what she's doing, she'd be just another washed-up childhood star. Since she still wants to have an enetertainment career, the worst thing would be to be ignored. I admire her and people like her, e.g., Lady Gaga, not for what they're doing but for their savvy - just giving the masses what they really want and getting very rich in the process. But it's nothing new - Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix did everything to get noticed.

Oh, the camera - I got mine new in the box sealed in cellophane 4 years ago for $70. It's a nice camera.
