Millenium nikkor from s3 2000 kit / current value

Anyone have an idea on the value of the 50 mm 1.4 nikkor from the millenium s3 2000 kit .
Just the lens alone .
It appears that many users are placing them on Leica m's
With an armedo adapter .

I paid $1200 for mine a couple of years ago, but I believe they sell for less now – maybe $800-1K?

$800-1000 is about right for the Millennium Nikkor. A very good lens.

I should add that whether or not it adds to the price, the Millennium Nikkor is one of the 50mm lenses that does a fairly good job of covering the corners of the new Sony A7 full-frame sensor. (A7 is said to work better with RF lenses than A7r, so I haven't tried the latter). Millennium Nikkor offers no color shift in the corners, even at wide apertures; and corner smearing almost disappears as you stop down from f1.4 to f4. So maybe S3 2000 and Sony together (with adapters) make a useful 50mm analog/digital pair?

(Can't say the same, unfortunately, for the classic f1.4 5cm Nikkor. No color shift, but it produces soft corners with flare and smearing from f1.4 to 4. Much better on digital Leica than on Sony.)

I have recently acquired an Amadeo adapter to install the new Nikkor 50mm f1.4 on my Leicas. I have been conducting some intensive testing at close range (1 m ) to determine and eventually calibrate my gear. For this I used a screen from a Nikon F4 and shims from the nikon F to establish the exact distance at which the screen had to be with respect to the film rails in order to be exactly in focus. I processed several black and white films to confirm my information and one thing I realized was that the new Nikkor 50mm f1.4 was at this aperture much sharper than my last version 50mm Summicron at f2. I also tried the old Nikkor 50mm f1.4 @1.4 and it revealed to be matching the sharpness of the Summicron. One of the very good lens was also the Leica 90mm f2 but no better than the new Nikkor 50mm at close range.

I picked up the black user kit he had from last month and would give 2 thumbs up for anything he sells.
