Mint Canon P

Final price was US $565.55 . I wonder if anyone is kicking themselves.

Me, sorta.

I really don't need another camera, but that is a great price for that one.

I have to look, did Brian win?

I know that you can find a P for less, but like anything the condition is king. And it had a lens.

I noticed Brian had not won. I don't think I would want a camera as nice as that (I wouldn't want to pay a premium for shinny metal). A nice, respectfully used Canon VT sold earlier today for less than $300. If I was going to bid on either I would have bid on the VT.

The opinion of an expert dealer in L.A. is that prices are going up...up....up in the future for Canon, Leica, etc.

BTW--today's sponsor Ricoh GR digital has rec'd several less- than- stellar reviews.

I figured the camera was $350, Lens $150, Case $50, box was "bonus".

I set a limit and did not cave into the "Darkside". Besides, I have some extra 50's just screaming for bodies.

I always plan like this, and sometimes I even stick with the plan
I might have set the camera price a bit higher, based on current market. This type of outfit can have an extra "nudge" upward in price, because it is a complete unit.
When you have a lot of equipment, it is easier to let one escape...
Perhaps some of those extra 50's should look for a new home?? After all, you can only shoot them one at a time (stereo shooters need not flame!!).

Harry ( a great one to talk about gear finding a new home )
