just moved house to a new build. My wife won’t let me use our en-suite bathroom to develop any more. Can I do it on a garage with bottled tap water perhaps? Tip it down the drain in the street? Or is that irresponsible?

Apart from the chemical disposal side, a garage unless the concrete is fully sealed can be extremely dusty.

Yep, decided I was just beating myself up about missing out on a bargain, so changed the post to something more ‘useful’.

Hmm in most more recently developed areas street drains don't go to waste water treatment I believe, so maybe better only with environmentally friendly chems, caffeenol? No used fix of course.
But really I hope you get something in return for letting the wife make absurd rules like this. Use the kitchen instead?
