I was reading thru an older photo book and it was talking about monobath. I was wondering if any here had ever used it ? Who made it is it still avail.? Just curious about it.

I had this news paper photographer the other day tell me when they used film (like it was an ancient thing) when they had a deadline they would heat the developer up and process it for a very short time. Has any one done this?

All these options produce terrible quality negatives. I once used a monobath, and a little processing tank that actually processed the film inside the cassette. You had to constantly twiddle a knob on top. Negatives were awful, thin, thin, thin.

Heating up developer will cause conventional b/w film to reticulate, and grain clump like crazy, and may be OK for breaking news with the coarse screen that newspapers print with, but not for good photos.

Already, color negative and transparency film process at 100f. This is standard temp.

Halftone printing will hide a multitude of sins. 'nuff said.
