My Red Dot Glows For You
It's time for a poll! So, the search function is a pain to use, that's a given. Not to mention that it's difficult to get consensus, adding to newbies' confusion.
All that out of the way, which one do you think is the most repeated question OP in RFF's life (so far)?

I voted for "Is film dead?", simply because that one does seem to come up often, and it's frequently answered by the asker in the affirmative in the same post.

Does this silver lens look okay on my black camera?

"I'm going to ______ for ___ days. What camera(s) and lens(es) should I take? I want the best versatility and the fewest lenses."
I don't think there is a possible answer that hasn't been given.

The long shutter speeds on my Leica M sound funny. Is this normal or should I send the camera for a CLA?

Option not included in the poll (other than "other"): What bag (or strap) should I buy?

What bag to go with my new fangled (old) non digital rangefinder gadget - that true, I don't know how to use yet.
However, important things first (I do have my priorities straight) should it be made out of ostrich og alligator?
my next post will be about film choice and how to load it.

Is the Leica 50mm Summicroid made in Luxembourg in 1948 by German-Icelandic expatriates truly superior to the lens on my Holga Voldemort Mark II? Do I really need the Summicroid to be a better photographer? And if so, why not?

Photographer?
Leica 50mm Summicroid made in Luxembourg in 1948 by German-Icelandic expatriates...
Is it bad that I kind of want this fictional lens?

Doc, I'm worried about that summicroid on my back. It used to be just a summaritoid, but now is getting bigger.

Which lens is sharper?
Change this to "which bokeh is better" and you have a winner, narrowly beating "film is dead because I said so."
BTW, I agree the search function on this website is very close to worthless. No point in searching for "M3" because it's not smart enough for a 2-letter term. Oh, and if you forget that quirk, you have to wait 30 seconds to get any results at all.

As long as it's not a Noctoid - you'll be all right. Take two xoons and call me in the morning.

The most common non-researched question on RFF is gotta be "Most common non-researched question on RFF?".

Most common non-researched question on RFF?
Is RFF down ?
PS: not saying it's down a lot, but I guarantee it's not researched on RFF

searching is simple, google for say "m3" like this:
m3 site:rangefinderforum.com
maybe that could be a way to find the most common question as well...

Good suggestion. Better than using the RFF search function, as Leica doesn't rename all their camera models. The standard answer:
The search term you specified (M3) is under the minimum word length (3) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
