Probably not what you were looking for but this is a picture of my mother...
Taken on July 3rd, 2014...my dad and I had been at the hospital since 11:00am this was taken around 9:00pm...the doctors wanted to get her on Dialysis before the long weekend holiday...since then she has had dialysis every other day...too many things going on with her body from years of denying she has Type II Diabetes and High Blood pressure...now she's dealing with Congestive Heart Failure, Diabetes, Eye problems, Pleural Effusion and her Kidneys...
Tomorrow will mark four weeks in the hospital this time...

Sam, some of us are now orphans--we're older photographers and our mothers don't live forever. I was lucky to spend the last 4 days of my mother's life with her, and to document some of those final changes.

My mother passed away Monday night, July 21st...she went peacefully and painlessly...I hope she's found my brother and they can spend this time together getting to know who they truly are...

Wow. Sorry for your loss Sam.

It is a good reminder to appreciate them while they are still around.

Mother's are never perfect. Mine certainly was not. Neither am I.
