MP on its way.

It's interesting that the MP is based on the pre-TTL M6. Leica is probably aware of the fact that a lot of people regard TTL flash control as somewhat inappropriate for what is basically a stealth camera. (Actually, TTL flash metering is an anomaly for all-manual cameras in general, including SLRs. The Olympus OM-3Ti has it, but I don't know what else does.) Apparently the MP uses a slightly modified version of the basic TTL meter on the M6 "classic." Anyhow, I'm glad they didn't take the most logical step and base the MP on the M4-P, because then I would have to have one. :(

That is a great price! The problem is that the camera paint will all wear off very quicky and then you'll get all this grotty brass stuff appearing everywhere... ;)

Got my MP today!!! What a beauty! great to hold and classic looking in every aspect. Have a half case on it and a 35 2.0 Asph. Im heading to the coast tomorrw after work for some sunset pics.

can't wait to see the pix, Jorge! Can we see your new beauty though?

sexy!
Hey, do my eyes deceive me or does that half case have a grip molded in? If so, where do you get one? I'd like a half case to protect my M6, but I am not giving up my grip......

Tim, if you check ebay, I think you'll find that Luigi makes such half cases. I think I saw one of his for sale on ebay, so he definitely makes them. The price is another matter, though :(

Well, here's Luigi's web site: http://www.leicatime.com/cases line.htm
