I also really like the 15mm and have a 75 on the way which I reckon will match nicely with the 40.
looking forward to your Hp5 shots.
Have the 40mm and the 75mm, a great pair, plus they both take 43mm filters. Then I want the 15.

John,

Hi. Just picked up some FP4 and HP5. Didn't realise how scarse this stuff had become at what I thought were large photographic outlets (Ted's and Camera House). All Digital...

One had no chemicals at all and the other had only one type. From memory I'd like to get some Micrphen to push to 1600. Neither had any 35mm developing tanks or such, lucky my brother still has all my old stuff.

Times have changed and I didn't even notice. It seems like one day all the stuff is in stock and the next day nothing!

Now I have to decide whether to load 125 or 400 - can't change iso at will like I am used to 🙂

Cheers,

John

Yeah - visiting an all digital photo retailer it's one of those times when you realise your age eh?!

I worked in a couple of those Elizabeth St stores many moons ago. I remember all the hype about the first digtal over 1 MP - a 1.3 MP beastie that went for a grand or so...

VanBar in Carlton still has a lot of the chemicals and film BTW...

Has anyone got one of the new R2M's or R3M's? I've put my dibs on a body, when someone buys one of the lenses (they only come as a set right now, but I'm hoping someone will want a lens so I can get my body..hint, hint). I was thinking of the A series, but I had a situation in France with a Konica Hexar when the battery died and it became, basically, a hammer, that I don't want to repeat, so I'll stick with all manual speeds. (By the way, the Hexar is still one hell of a nice camera: wish I'd kept mine)

Funny you should mention Vanbar, it's where I got all my stuff in Sydney (Camperdown). Very large range and good prices - I think, been that long 🙂

Cheers,

John
