The microchips you speak of are only required in some states - such as California.
And they are not GPS chips, they are RFID chips, which are very different.
They cannot be tracked from space - they only receive power when a 'wand' is passed over them, within inches of the animal.
And when that happens, all it does is power up, and radiate a signal back to the wand - which contains the animals' owner information and so on.
Vets and animal shelters use them to find out to whom animals belong when they are picked up injured or stray. They cannot track the animals from space, they are not GPS units.
They are controversial, I'll give you that - there is some evidence that they may cause skin cancers in the pets they have been implanted in. Which would make them a poor choice for planting in people.
See what I mean?
I do look good in a hat. A fez, usually. I did get my stories slightly muddled. I was thinking of the RFID chips, but also of a recent local news story about a carjacked dog. His owner is planning to have him fitted with a tracking device, but that's probably a collar. Still, it's a disturbing trend.

Yes, even in Northern Ireland, if you didn't mind some spotty kid sticking the muzzle of an SA80 through your car window and asking for your drivers license. An estuary-English accent was better currency than a masons handshake at a police speed check in that situation, although, it has to be said, generally not that helpful in South Armagh at that time.

I don't recall reading about neighbors being asked to spy on each other and turn each other in for thoughtcrimes in Huxley.

In the UK it will probably be child passports, whip up a bit of hysteria in the daily rags about baby passports all looking the same and the potential for abuse, and people will want chipped or bar-coded babies
Our once proud nation now seems to be the test-bed for all sorts of social experimentation.

yes the Cold War scam, do some research on who actually financed the communist revolution in Russia and even the Nazi party in Germany.
hint: this US prez's grandpa played a big role in some of this.

The british government just read all the US neocon stuff, and thought gosh what a great idea. So here we are government by potential threat, photographers are just another threat they can use to control the plebs with, no one ever sees a terrorist so it’s better to demonize a photographer, ya see lots of them.

You realise the spotty kid was as frightened of you as you were of him, the accent was less of an advantage on the Ormeau Road

Looking at the second link, we should also be wary of and report anyone using a mobile phone or living in a house.

So when things don`t go your way the chicken in you simply runs from it huh? I suspect you are going to France?
And regarding the US foreign policy maybe you preferred Adolf`s instead?

Actually I was thinking more about the ropey technology that 'safeguarded' us against nuclear war by detecting missile launches and the 'near misses' that faults in these systems caused...

Definitely! They always looked relieved to hear an English accent.
Thankfully things are, generally, a lot better at the moment...most of the watchtowers have gone from South Armagh

You might as well say that the United States is a nation of chickens, as almost all its inhabitants ran away from somewhere else.
Do you believe that? Because if you don't, you might want to think twice before accusing others of 'running away' from regimes they find distasteful.
You might also care to look at which country provided the most material and military support for the infant United States.
Cheers,

Two nations seperated by a common language
People leave their native country for many reasons - wanting, for instance, a better future for your children is not running away, more like making a new life.

What's actually wrong with running away from an environment to which you are not suited.
What's worse, being a chicken or a turkey, or even a sitting duck?

Xayraa33, and those who doubt his suspicions. It is already quite possible to track someone's movements/whereabouts free of charge if they carry a mobile phone and you have access to the internet. Something to do with triangulation using proximity to mobile phone masts, when I looked it up on Wiki.
