Relieved to hear Raid. A couple times I was visiting South Florida when powerful hurricanes hit. Many years ago my parents home sustained tremendous damage from one. Stay safe!

Living close to warm waters brings with it such risks, Dave. I am not aware of countries with cold climates having hurricanes. They may have miserable weather in the winter!

I live on top of a small hill, and the power line comes up to the top in an overhead, then goes underground to all the buildings. The pole where this junction occurs was obliterated by a falling tree, and the two transformers were of a type not common in the area, so it took an extra day for the power company to source them. They put up a stronger pole and transformer bracket, and we haven't had any problems since which is good when the winter gusts start up.

Thanks!
You are right about Herons being sensitive to having people close by, except with fisherman who have buckets of water with small fish. Then, herons may try to inch up to such buckets to quickly grab a fish and fly away.
I pretend that I am ignoring the bird for a while, while prefocusing on a few yards from it. Then I wait until I see the bird preparing for lift-off.
Interesting. You could go there with the M10 on one shoulder and the bucket with water and small fish in the other hands...or ask Dana to come with you with the bucket...

Actually, there was a time when I would fish from the three mile bridge, and I had with me a bucket with water and bait fish then.

TV shows tons of images on scenes after Sally. I will post some soon. We got back power just yesterday.

During/after Hurricane Sally, we had no power at home, and we used small candles to light the living room. Dana had an important school assignment to submit that evening and she used her iPhone with Personal Hot Spot to get WiFi for her Mac on which the report was written.
I have never before used ISO 6400, so I decided to try my M10 with the 75 Lux at 1.4. I do not own a finder. The RF in the M10 is excellent.
Dana is moving her phone around to get better WiFi signals.

My focusing was not bad at candle light without wearing glasses. The photo was taken around 6:45PM CST, at sunset timing.

Just received today a half case from Luigi (with strap).
He was out of this color for the special price of around $200, so he made one for me!

We had 7000 Gulf Power staff work on repairing damaged power lines in Pensacola. They said yesterday on TV that they have completed their work.

Sorry I am late to the party. I haven't been posting a lot here lately and just saw this. First congrats on the M 10. And the images you are posting are wonderful and it is so good to see how much you are photographing with the new camera. I find it fascinating to be able to see how different lenses are rendering with the M 10. Also glad to see you and your family are safe. Keep up the good work Raid and please keep posting. I have really enjoyed this thread.
BTW Love my M 10s. It is a wonderful camera.

Thanks! I am very happy with my M10 purchase and use of this excellent camera. I feel that my older and newer lenses work well with it. It is interesting that with a digital camera you can use some less costly lenses and get great results.
