... today I received my first Leica ever, a M6 chrome (without any documentation). I bought it used via yahoo auctions (no chance for ebay in Japan...) The feel and look through the viewfinder is amazing 🙂 (I found a copy of the M6 instruction manual in the internet and it seems that I have the 0.72 version with 6 framelines)

I brought my Nokton 50mm F/1.5 one roll of Fuji Neopan 400 Presto and now I'm testing. The only thing I regret now s that I always hesitated to buy a Leica 🙄

Well ... I'm supposed to work but it's to attempting to take a few shots right now 😉

I got my first Leica M yesterday too - chrome M6. A friend and I met someone from RFF at lunchtime and friend bought an MP, I bought M6. Expensive lunchtime.

First film was fine, some details of the design I don't much like, position of flash socket, small speed dial, small rewind, baseplate protected by plastic etc but build quality is superb as is the viwefinder.

M6's viewfinder ...

M6's viewfinder ...

... is amazing ! very bright and I can see the 28 mm framelines with glasses... Hopefully, I can develop the first roll this night.

I agree about the size of the speed dial but it's easier to rotate than the ones on my R-D1s and Bessa-T. Otherwise I really like the handling of the M6.

Yep, work and Leica in sight doesn't work out ... 🙄

Flash? With an M6? 😱 Get a Noctilux and forget all about flash. 😉 Peel the plastic film off the baseplate if it bothers you.
