Okay, I know this is a little gratuitous, but I just couldn't resist. After cleaning up the RFs on both of these cameras, and babying them back into perfect working order, there's no way I could possibly stop myself from posting a bit on them.

I bought the CL first, and received it last. It spent a month rotting between here and Florida, and I found out recently that they managed to lose it at least once every step of the way. However, a month and $45 in customs later, here she is, with Ryan's (enochRoot's) 40/2 'Cron on it. All matched up to the RF on the M2, which is a completely different beast.

The M2 was an impulse purchase that I'm still paying off -- irresponsible, perhaps, but worth every penny for what I got. Beaten up, not entirely pretty, but absolutely functional. After a little adjustment of the RF vertically, it's a dream to use. I was thinking I might send it out for a bit of a CLA in the future, just to get it the last little bit of the way to perfect. Well used, well-loved, and still working, patched shutter curtain and all, for only $500 CAD. Truth be told, the only time I ever even remember she has a patched curtain is when I change rolls.

Unfortunately, I'm lacking in adequate Leitz glass for the M2, so she's got the Jupiter 8 (courtesy of AlexC) on her for the moment. I'd like a Summitar more than anything else, but I imagine that's a while off. Sigh! For now, I'll just bask in the glory that are my two babies.

If anyone's already sat through this speech, I apologize for bombarding you constantly with my giddy ramblings about these two. I never thought I'd own a Leica, let alone two! I'm still a bit excited.
