So I bought a Hexar RF and then scraped together enough money to buy an Avenon 21mm lens. I've owned a Hexar AF for a long time, so the comparison is inevitable. Long story short, I really love the RF. I love the feel of it in my hands. Even the weight feels just right to me. I much prefer the dial exposure compensation over the AF pushy buttons. I find the viewfinder to be quite nice and I have no trouble focusing the camera. My only other true rangerfinder is a Yashica GTN and I find the Hexar much much easier to focus. It took me a little bit of time to get used to looking left to view the shutter speed rather than just looking straight on as you can do with the AF. It would be nice to have some of the AF features such as the double exposure and silent mode on the RF, but I'm really not complaining.
I think the highest compliment I can give the camera is that I am shooting more and looking for more excuses to go out shooting. Really a fun camera.
Here are some shots from New Years in Macau.
I could probably get rid of that flare on the last one if I bothered to use a hood or a filter.
Anyways, thanks for looking.
