my latest project : skateboard

Nice work - I would be more seelctive on the gallery shots and cut down to the best ones. You also need some California sunshine to bring out the great colours!

I've only done 2 sessions at a skate park and I loved it. I found that the skaters and bikers saw a camera and really brought out their A game so to speak. I'd love to do more, as I love skateboarding (can't do it to save my life) and BMX freestyle (used to do it, now I'd break my neck).

Capturing the motion/action, expressions, getting the shot in at just the right time to get the shot, that's not easy. Esp when you are shooting film and can't just spray and pray. 😀

yeah, i don't get much california sunshine here in memphis- -- i've gotten nailed by a loose board once --- the guy lost his board and it almost hit my camera --- instead, it hit my shoulder,,,, the fisheye is the only lens that has really felt right for this --- wouldn't dream of doing it in film....

Wild! I don't see how these guys do this without killing themselves. It is exciting though.
I do agree with zuiklogoist, that you should edit them down more. Some are kind of dark, or not framed as well.

i've seen a few nasty falls --- one of my friends just broke his elbow- -- yeah, the 10mm fisheye is extreme and on the bright days, the sky dominates....

these are way edited down, i'll do another edit soon

thanks for the words

I like to use the Hasselblad 30mm Fisheye C T* Distagon and a good flash (I like the Norman 200b) for shooting skateboarding. Quite a bit of fun. Fisheye is the way to do it.
