My Nokton 35mm f1.2 focuses past infinity, on my M8.

But focus seems to be correct.

I tried three other 35mm lenses on my M8, and they focus fine at infinity.

So, the fault is with the Nokton. Annoying.

Do your Nokton 35/1.2's do this?

....Vick

I believe I have the same thing with my Voigtlander Color Skopar 35mm f2.5 ..
It also tends to go quite a bit past infinite (i think, i have only recently got the lens and haven't use it much, so i'm not 100% sure)

"...focuses past infinity..."

"But focus seems to be correct"

Yo mean there actually IS something beyond infinity :D
Sorry for this useless contribution...
And now back to your normal program...

assuming the going past infinity doesn't change anything up close, it might be a feature.

do some focus bracket testing, and see if it's sharpest at infinity based on VF/RF, scale barrel mark, and fully rotated past where you'd expect it to stop.

Use the sharpest setting on the barrel (maybe need a sharpie or tape here) for true infinity focus position, and if you can go further, you get a kind of soft focus feature.

Okay, I spent an afternoon with a bag of M lenses, my M8 and the Nokton 35mm f1.2, and a 2 mm Allen wrench.

Seems like my M8 was a touch out of alignment at infinity.

It is now adjusted, and the Nokton 35/1.2 is spot-on at infinity.

Here is an earlier shot from the 35/1.2

well, thanks vick!

i'm home today, laid up with a bad back and barely moving but i did manage to adjust my h & v alignment and it's looking pretty good.

now, if i could only walk upright and carry a camera at the same time...
