My take on choosing the M8 in 2013

Btw, that icon shot is with the Voigtländer 28/1.9 at f/1.9 or f/2. I don't like the handling of the lens all that much, but the optical quality sure is nice.

Both fairly standard lower light. The first is in my friends shop; Fluorescent lights, not too bright. The second is one bulb in a fairly dim cafe, though the light from above the table isn't too horrendous. Here is an outdoor shot near Le Louvre at 1250, streetlamps only (http://ericjenks.zenfolio.com/paris/h31195463#h31195463)

And the lighting at Cafe Lena is very dim, even on stage.

those are very great looking. were you using an uv/ir filter? to me a major concern is the need for those filters.. i used to shoot only naked lenses but after trying filters from B+W it changed that. they just barely have any ghosting when shooting into light sources. so I guess it wouldnt bother me much.. also the noise level if well exposed seems to be on par with the R-D1's... which to me is pretty enough. :)
