My wife is going to kill me...

I just now purchased a used Mamiya 645J off of eBay, complete with lens and finder. It was a good deal (I think) as I usually see these go for maybe $50-$100 more than I paid, still... I don't really need anymore cameras, and it is more than I usually allow myself to spend. However, I've just been really jonesing for a really nice medium format camera. My Zeiss folder is nice, but it has its limitations, especially since it is a scale focus.

Be sure she informs us of the date and locations of the wake, funeral, and sale of all your camera items. Especially the later. 😀 😀 😀

Hope you like the camera when it arrives. Be sure to get a good portrait of her, blow it up to about 11x14, frame and hang it in a conspicuos place for her to admire. Of course, like most wives, she will complain about the cost of the photo and frame. 😀

Very true. But I remember two sayings I learned from my my dear late mother. She died in 1973; was something of a cynic; and was given to saying things for effect (very like my deal late mother-in-law):

"The most important thing in life is sincerity. Once you can fake that, you can fake anything."

"When you lie to someone, look 'em straight in the eye. It confuses them."
