Mystery roll of 1600 tri-x from late 80's

any thoughts on care and handling of it?

last one I did was a disaster, best image from the roll looked like this...

I believe this new mystery roll is from the same fire, with good images on it.

Has it been in the fridge?

I'm not a Tri-X user, but as I understand, most emulsions rated that high are actually 800-1200 ISO with push processing built in to give it more speed.

I'd figure out what the manufacturer's recommendations are and then add at least 50% developing time. But that's me, and I've never had to resurrect film that old.

What did you do for the first roll?

Gene M on PhotoNet has years and hundreds of rolls of experience with found and old film. I believe he uses HC-110 because it is better with film age fog. You might look around his website or go to PN and look at his posts.

God, no. It was in the bottom of a box of various junk in various storage modalities over the past 20 years.

For the last roll, I did d76 for 1600 +20% or so
