Nachtwey

That’s a must-buy issue, by one of the seriously great photo-journalists of our time. Bill, thanks for the heads-up

Yes, thanks for the heads up Bill. James Nachtwey has been an inspiration for decades. His work is incredible. Can't wait to find a copy.

Best,

This is why we need more border protection and when it is all said all 4 borders will need strengthening.

I wasn't aware that there were borders around Ewing NJ, where oxycontin synthesis in the US was developed, or Wilson NC, where US consumed product is manufactured.

You also cannot put a border around direct marketing of medicines, which occurs only in the USA and New Zealand, and which is counter-productive to positive health outputs.

The pictures are scary but as always excellent. I didn't know Nachtwey was still active, glad you posted that!

Good work thanks for the link for those interested in that topic or photographs dealing with addiction I can recommend Eugene Richard's book cocaine true cocaine blue it's from the 90's but stll a great book

About Nachtwey

About Nachtwey

Great documentary movie about Nachtwey is the award winning film "War Photographer" https://archive.org/details/wphoto I have watched it over and over. There is a great photography lesson there, not about f-stops and lenses but about photos that communicate.

His 2007 TED talk https://www.ted.com/talks/james_nachtwey_s_searing_pictures_of_war is also compelling.

Watching photos like those included there will make one realize the futility of searching for good photos on flicker.
