That was my second portrait attempt with Rolleiflex and I'm quite proud of the results, and want to share them with you. I hope you like it. As usual Ektar and Tessar wide open.

Last two are bit OOF but they've got "something".

Nice work. I like the way the Tessar draws, especially in the 3rd photo. The subject just pops out of the frame. Which model Rollei, which Tessar? It would be interesting to see black and white pictures with that lens.

They're all beautiful, and the first and third are stunning IMO. I'm impressed by the detail and 3D effects in those two, and I also like them the best as compositions. Lovely model. You have good reason to be proud. Nice work!

Very wonderful images, the Tessar gives such a great rendition especially with the Ektar. Three and five are exceptionally beautiful.

This inspires me to take the old Rollei out for a spin. However, mine has the Xenar lens, and I'm aware there's a religious war regarding Tessar vs. Xenar. I haven't ever had a chance to shoot a Tessar on 6x6, whether Opton or CZ Jena, and am interested to know what version OP used for his effort above. Any others with comparative experience among the three?

I like the second - such lovely eyes! Rolleis are just great. Mine has a Xenar too, and I love it. Keep working with it!

Oh, I did not expect such big feedback so fast, thank you all.

Story of this Rolleiflex is bit confusing, its 3.5C and Tessar was never mounted on them, probably it was retro-fitted. Nevertheless it produces great images. I only feel the need of new focusing screen.

The third and fourth are tremendous. Beautiful muted colour rendition too. That's a really beautiful young woman too, particularly lovely hair.

A very nice series ! I think you selected a good location and the right time and light for these photos.

Wow...this is all so good, and with Ektar, no less (reputed to be just-fair with skin tones). To say the least, you're off to a great start.

Very nice series! Looks like you were having fun, and made good use of the rain.

Beautiful photographs of a stunning model in an amazing setting. Well done indeed!

Can you share a bit about your scanning and any post processing?

Take care,

Jim
