Need A Bag for Nikon D5100, 3 Lenses

So... I've got this new camera and three new lenses, and I need a new bag.

The camera is a DSLR, the Nikon D5100. I also bought 3 Nikkors: 10-24, 55-200, and a 35/1.8.

Went to the camera store today and came home with a ThinkTank Speed Demon 2.0, which is about an inch to small. Gonna take it back tomorrow. The obvious step is to get the next-size-up ThinkTank. But... it's too big for my needs and taste.

On the off chance anyone else is working with this combination of hardware, what bag are you carrying it in?

I am a huge fan of the Domke F2. Maybe a little big, but it'll hold your kit, accessories, bottle of water and a snack too. Love that bag.

I've used my Domke 803 satchel for just about all of my camera combinations for the past dozen years. A very versatile bag.

Think Tank has a perfect sized bag for you in the Retrospective line but if you don't like Messenger bag styles, then, there are a million other choices.🙂

The Think Tank could be the answer. Let me also point out the Tamrac 704 convertible, a small bag meant for an SLR and 3 lenses. It can be used as a shoulder bag, or with its waist strap, as a fanny pack or waist pack. We don't seem to talk much about Tamrac here, but they are very good bags.

I have a Domke F2. It's a good bag, but too large for just camera with lens and two more lenses. with 4 extra lenses, it's a good bet. But then, so is the Tamrac 706 convertible.

If you like rucksack style, Lowepro Micro Trekker 100 might fit the bill:

It comfortably holds a D90, flash and a few lenses, yet isn't a large bag.

I have an F2 and like it, but agree it's really meant to carry more. The shop I use had a good Tamrac selection, I'll look for that 704.

I like the ThinkTank. The padding, too, since the bag will sit in the overhead bins when I fly. Think I saw a few Retrospective bags at the store, too.
