I sent out my M6TTL 0.85 for a CLA and the MP viewfinder upgrade. I also had the 75 and 135 framelines masked. It took a while, but when I finally got it back, there is one issue, and I need to know if this is normal, or if I need to insist that it's fixed at no extra charge to me.
The LED for the light meter is no painfully bright. When I depress the shutter halfway to activate it, the person having their photo taken can see the VF light up from across the room. The light is in my eye like a laser pointer, and makes it hard to see much in the frame, and is hard to use for long as it gives me a headache. It's so bright that I can activate the LED, turn the camera around and project the red dot on the wall across the room like a laser pointer!
Now, I'm assuming this has nothing to do with the MP upgrade. I'm assuming that MPs are NOT like this. My best guess is (and I don't know much about the mechanical insides of cameras) that there is some kind of dampener that makes the brightness better, like it used to be, that the person doing the upgrade forgot to put in. Is that correct?
Any help or advice is appreciated!
