does anyone know what the original hood for the canon serenar 100/4 lens would be?
i have looked around the net but no one mentions the hood when they talk about the lens.

reason being, tim sent me this great canon 34mm yellow filter that is in great shape and looks very nice on the lens - but - it has a flat top, no threads, so the 34mm hoods that i own have nothing to screw into.
i could live with the walz yellow and hood combo but that canon filter is so very nice.
and we all know that a canon camera needs a canon lens and that canon lens should have a canon filter if at all possible.

as usual, any help is greatly appreciated.

good work oscar! many thanks.
i missed that one.

according to the canon museum it has the same 34mm filter size so that hood should fit. that's the first pic of one that i have seen.
anyone want a 100/3.5 lens if i buy it? i have another filter and hood set up i could add on to the lens!!

Glad I could help :) But be sure to review seller's feedback and ask the necessary questions before... ;)

BTW not sure of this but... if you read the script on the hood... is it something like 'f4 100' ?

yes it does. some of the canon hoods say for what lens they are for on them, and either series 6 or 7 (or whatever).

my hoods for the 85 and the 135 arrived today. they are inscribed and are series 7. not sure if i'll go for 7 yellows or not as i have 48mm yellow already attached.

maybe if i can find some canon series 7 filters...i love that oem stuff.
