Yes, that's right - I'm asking the mighty members of RFF to help me identify the tree that this leaf comes from...
I am framing photo's for an exhibition and need to know for the title of the photo.
I put it in this forum as I hope to sell it and make some Photo Bucks $$$!
Cheers

Where are you located? North America? Europe? How big of a tree? Or is it a big shrub?

I'm in the UK but the tree is not from the UK. All I have is the leaf - I've no idea what the tree looks like!

You should go to the local library and find a book on indigenous trees and schrubs. I don't think it would take you long to identify it.
Nice image though!

well it looks like a fern of some sort to be honest. If it came from a shop in an arrangement I would not count on it being a tree leaf. How did you come to receive this leaf? Did you take it from the plant?

I'm pretty good on trees of the eastern U.S., but....
As somebody mentioned, the leaf looks like it might be from a fern. The "zig-zag" pattern is very similar to several ferns that grow around the Great Lakes.

My guess is it looks like a fern from the genus Asplenium or Osmunda. Or some other type of fern. It's hard to say though as your photo "leaves" most of it out!
