Today I stumbled across that new lens:
http://www.voigtlaender.de/cms/voigtlaender/voigtlaender_cms.nsf/id/pa_fdih7pyk8x.html
It finally can take 52mm filters, has a bigger hood and is rangefinder coupled. Wow...
It's being sold on German eBay already for 439 EUR.
I was not aware that the 15mm would be reissued as an M-mount design. Did I miss a forum post? Anyone as surprised as me about that one?

The website has a place where you can choose English or German.
I just leave my 15mm lens set at one meter all the time. I can't see much sense in rangefinder coupling. Once you have a lens that CAN be rangefinder focused most people would find themselves feeling COMPELLED to use the rangefinder. It's about impossible to get an out of focus picture with that lens.

M mount, takes a filter and rangefinder coupled. Looks like quite a few update although optically the lens still seems to be the same.

I just bought one like two months ago. What the hell. And the only issue I have with it is the lack of filter use for the M8.
Crap.

Does Gandy sell it?

And it will hopefully have the new recessed mount (as seen on the Ultron 28/2) that makes self-coding for the M8 a breeze!
Accepts filters, can be coded, new hood, new M mount...
Very very cool!

The best camera is one that still works!
Good that Cosina doesn't just sit back on their haunches knowing that they probably already have the best 15mm rangefinder lens on the market ... M mount is good and that hood looks really cool!
I can't say I'd consider replacing a lens that I'm already totally satisfied with though!

The website you quote says delivery in May. I am wondering about the ebay offer...

This e**y-offer is prob. from Mundus - a photo dealer who sells usually a package "LTM-lenses + M-adapter" as M-Lens.I am wondering about the ebay offer...
The price would also interest me - because as far as I see the new lens won´t include a 15mm finder (worth about 149€)"inclusive Sucher , incl. M-Bayonett durch Bayonettring ,codierfähig für Leica M8, ohne Aussparung"
PS: there is another offer for 429 - which seems to be the new one.

Very good strategy to raise prices up as the optical formula stays the same. Just Cosmetics + coupling. If the finder is not part of the package anymore like with the 21mm M (?), that means price up by 60% otherwise 25%.

I actually like the LTM version - I can use it on more cameras. The 15 on a Leica IIIa is a tidy little package; ditto the Bessa-T. However, stepping back a moment, the thing I most like about Mr. K's approach to his product line is that every single thing he has produced has made life more interesting for RF users and an M-mount 15mm lens is no exception. Agree that RF coupling of a lens this wide is not a show stopper one way or the other.
BTW, I'm getting a 404 on the links to the lens pix above . . .
