New Bronica RF645 section!

Excellent camera. I also own the Mamiya 6 and frankly, though I use both depending on which format I want, the Bronica is just a teensy bit more "plasticky" than the Mamiya. But to repeat, very happy with both of them.

Lets face it, most of the rangefinder cameras talked about on these forums (with obvious, notable exceptions) are now discontinued, purely because of the shift to digital by the mainstream consumer. It's not just Rangefinders, lets face it, film photography will be akin to painting with oils very soon. Only carried out by people who can be bothered to learn the skills how to...

Rangefinders are at the thin edge of the film users wedge. Medium Format Rangefinders, well... Hens teeth come to mind! It wont be long before we are buying our film from art shops. 🙄

It's strange that the Mamiya 6 and Mamiya 7 get their own forums (each!) with very few posts in either, yet the poor misunderstood (yet, much loved!) Bronica RF645 gets nothing... Cue violin music.

Me either. There are at least 25 or 30 actively engaged rf645'ers almost everyday. Who knows how many part timers there are. I know I check in at least daily. We dutifully peruse all other areas of the RFF. What gives administrators? Is it the limited bandwidth? Do you need to rob Peter to pay Paul.

While surfing the web last Saturday looking for a 100mm lens, my search produced a result at B&H Photo. Yes! a very well cared for RF645 100mm lens. The asking price of $449.00 - box, covers, bubble wrap and instructions all there. 2 day Air, 62mm UV Filter and it was mine for $483.40.

I am humbled and glad that I did not sell my RF 645 (Thanks George)

Keep searching - it'll happen

but for now the Photo gods want you to master what you have

you have no idea how humbled I am, my quest is complete. B&H rated it at 9+ but IMHO it could have gone for "like new." B&H has a RF645, 45mm and 65mm lens right now.

More film please...

I ended up buying an entire kit recently just for the 100mm! Now I have 2 of the body, 45mm, 65mm, flash... Plan to keep them for now in case i need parts one days.

And I did sell a Mamiya 7 kit, the more compact RF645 is better for travel. And I get more shots per roll.

I did the exact opposite - I sold my RF645 for a Mamiya 7 II. I really did love the Bronica 100mm lens . . . but I did have trouble with the camera film transport on a couple of occasions.
