Hi there,
I've just shot my first roll with my newly acquired Canon P. Very nice experience ! It took me some time to get used with the viewfinder and all the frame displayed. I mostly use a M3 and a 50mm ... The busy viewfinder scared me at first but I've got used to it after a while. Still, I prefer the M3 viewfinder. Shutter noise is reasonable and the advance is sooo smmmooottthhh. I've been using the P with my Canon f/1.2 and my VC 90 f/3.5. I've shot with Neopan 400 exposed at 800 developed in D76. I'm still trying to find a perfect combo for low light picture. I think I'm getting close ... I'm expecting (I mean, my wife ...
) twins in December and I want to be ready by then !!
A very fine camera which go directly in my prefered arsenal !!!
Thanks to all of you who provided sound advise on the Canon P and 7.

Congratulations, and very nice shots. Were the photos of the child taken with the 1.2?

Yup ... I have plenty more taken with the 50mm f/1.2 on my blog if you're interested in this lens ... http://www.400iso.com/?page_id=75

very nice camera, easy to use (no great viewfinder but very usable).
I'm going to go to Florence with it

I think I'm gonna have to get a Canon 7 to see if the viewfinder is better ....

Also look at a VI-L or VI-T. They have nice viewfinders, in my opinion. You use a switch to seelct one of three focal lengths for the viewfinder. Some claim that the P has a better viewfinder but I prefer the VI-L.
