LOL that is funny Ralph. Yes that's me in layers, but it looks a lot worse than it really was. I think the ones that were really hot were the Singing Nuns.
I got a call from Motophoto today with some really bad news. I left two 24exp rolls of XP2 in for processing Saturday and one of them came out blank!
:bang: I am just really bummed and I think it may be the roll I shot with my 75mm lens. I do not remember rewinding that roll in the North End and when I got home I fiddled around with the cam and took it into a darkroom because I thought that the film had come out of the cassette. But no it was in the canister so I took it in to be developed. Blank. That means I didn't check the rewind spindle was rotating when I first loaded the film - something I always do... :bang: So the film didn't catch properly in the take-up spool. That's what you get for rushing. What a bummer!
And I got home too late tonight to pick up the film and I'm going out tomorrow night... Aaaaargh!

Uggghhh. I wish I could say that'd never happened to me, but it has - a couple of times. I have failures to wind on routinely with my SLRs and watch this like a hawk at this point. I can definitely sympathize...

I honestly think that this is the first time it has happened to me. While I am bummed I'm glad it didn't happen on a recent vacation and I'll make darn sure it won't happen again. No more rushing...

Unfortunately it was the camera I had the 75mm lens on. I think I did better with that guy than with the 35mm. I did have a 90mm with me as well and so I got some shots with that but I got a couple in the intense sun with the 75 that I was really looking forward to seeing. I got my film back and have scanned some of it but I'm moving my kid back to our house tonight from Cambridge so there is no way I can post pics tonight. But I will post on Friday (tomorrow). From what I've seen there are a couple of OK ones and only one that I really like.Joerg said:Peter,

Joerg I did try CVS for the first time and they gave me the developed roll back in a film cassette container. At first I was taken aback but when I looked at the film under a loupe it looked OK. Is that how you get your film back from CVS?

Hi Peter,
i get my film back cut in 4-5 pics size and in sleeves.
But I also have my film scanned at the store, maybe the extra handling explains the difference or probably the location.
Try CVS at central Sq.
Tell them the guy with "no prints written on every order" sent you

Joerg I actually asked for uncut rolls because I know they cut in a strip of 5 negs length. I have found there is less dust on the negs if they come back uncut.
Also I need a 6 neg strip for my little Minolta film scanner. On reflection I think its really no big deal, the film is wound back & forth into the cassette (and in my case was bulk loaded into the cassette) so what difference is one more roll? I thought they did a pretty reasonable development job for $3/36 exp roll BTW. No scratches, very little dust.
OK so here are some of my snaps. One roll of film completely missing which I'm still mad about. :bang: Apologies for the amateur scanning (my excuse is that I'm using the Minolta software
) but I like my pictures a bit on the gritty side anyway...

The last three are just random street shots. Just in case you may be wondering what I was looking at:
1. Duetto Cow
2. Mirrors (this one gives you an idea of what most of it was really like - it was very commercial and the streets were packed with vendors)
3. Parrot
