Great guide.
Scanning color negative film requires a good eye (yes, I know, the folks with Pakons will now rush in to tell us this is not true), but I think you've deconstructed this process down to the steps that everybody should be able to follow and get good results.
Donation made (although I don't use Epson Scan).

This is a good tutorial for adjusting color in Photoshop, too!

It is a good example showing how EpsonScan is capable and why most people probably can get along with it just fine. Users should at least work with it for a while before deciding they really need to buy Vuescan or Silverfast.

When I first started scanning, I really wanted Silverfast but couldn't justify the cost, so I just kept using Epson Scan and got used to it. Now I have Silverfast, and never use it.

Thank you for the link - in addition to bookmarking I exported it to PDF as a handy reference.
I have a V750 and typically use VueScan, but this applies across the board.

I read your first Ektar article and have been using it on all C-41. Another RFF member did something similar to you, but as I have a V500 yours should work better for me. I don't use paypal so if you PM your address to me through RFF I will send you a check. Thanks.
