The rubber of the eyecup of my R-D1 is almost gone ... so i start scratching my glasses. Are there new ones available or other solutions.
I did a search on the topic and read mixed results of mounting a Nikon eyecup?
Any pointers , suggestions appreciated.

I would guess that its the same eyecup as for the Bessa R2A/3A. I'm not certain about that, but you may want to try that avenue. Call or email one of the Voightlander dealers if that's the case, like Camera Quest, etc.

Post back if you find something. I recently noticed that the rubber ring around the viewfinder is also starting come off.

The FM diopter replacements have no rubber liner, and if you are concerned about scratching your glasses, that might be a problem. I purchased a -4 FM diopter to allow me to use the RD1 without my glasses. Fits perfectly, and does the job.

THanks folks,

Is this the Nikon eyepiece? Any idea how to mount that on a R-D1? .... looks flat enough to put a rubber ring on myself

Han, that looks like a larger eyepiece than the one for the FM/FE.
Btw, the plain replacement eyepieces have the rubber ring, although the diopters do not. What you're looking for is the plain glass replacement eyepiece for FM/FE.
