New Heliar Vintage Line 50/3.5

I assume that the optical design of all versions of the lens is the same, but I don't keep track of design details at that level. I have two, the Nikon version (which I think I got on sale at a close-out price) and the Nickel plated LTM version that I shouldn't have bought, but couldn't help myself. :}

The more I use this lens the more I like it. To think that for years I thought that a fast 50mm was the best only at this late stage in my photography journey to find such joy with a f3.5 50mm lens.

I agree. I love a fast lens for sure but I get huge pleasure from working with these slower 50s. In fact, my old 1935 Leitz Elmar is one of my favorite lenses and this Heliar in collapsible LTM form is not far behind.

^Pioneer, I enjoy reading your comments, very down to earth, you always make sense to me.

I didn't quite nail the focus on this one but I like it anyway.

Kshapero, thank you for the kind comment.

Colker, yes, this lens is capable of doing landscape, but I think it can do so much more than just that.
