"New" Leica CL, need advice/screw

Hi All,
I've been lurking for a while now and just picked up my second Leica CL. The first regretibly I owned for less then a day before returning it, but it was enough to wet my appetite for another.
I just got the CL in the mail and through strategic seller photos I had not noticed a missing screw from the top plate and self made thumb grip (dent).

Does anyone know of the screw size or place where I can find a replacement?
Also should the rewind lever spring back past the edge of the body?

I got the camera at a good price so if its a matter of a small replaceable screw I'd like to keep it vs returning another CL. Plus the meter works!

You can contact the a Leica repair person, depending on where you live. DAG, for example, would probably have the part if you're in the US.

It is likely some metric size standard screw.

The lever spring-back might be easily adjustable; it has been a while since I worked on one.

Yes, I recall, the back had a tab to prevent over travel

Yes, my CL has a tab like that on the bottom of the lever.
Hmmm... Never noticed that before.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I just ordered the Screw and "newer" designed advance lever tip from DAG.

Apparently the over travel isn't good and Leica had redesigned the tip to have that 90* over hang to prevent it.

Also of note there is a small aluminum spacer that must go around the screw. you can barely see the spacer in my first picture.

Hmm. You made me look.

My CL has the advance lever with the overhang. Under the lever there is a hole that looks like it has a thread in it, but I can't tell if there's a socketed grub screw down there or not ... I can't get a light and a magnifying glass lined up so I can see into the hole clearly. :-\

What should it look like? Anyone with a macro rig that can take a clear picture of the proper setup? I might have to do that with mine to see it clearly.

There should be a Phillips head screw under the lever that sits flush with the top plate

that screw and cover may have gotten knocked out with the bump that created the thumbrest/dent.

BTW, Wongler. Congrats for getting a CL with a *working meter*!

Mine has an "active meter" but doesn't give appropriate readings (no, nothing to do with the battery voltage). Drives me crazy because its not something I can adjust for -- it doesn't consistently over-, or under-read exposure. Still a capable camera. Especially for people with small hands. Unfortunately, because it doesn't fit in my larger hands very well, I don't use the camera often.... 🙁

Mine has a "limited mobility seniors retiree meter:, it only comes out on very bright sunny warm days with a bit of encouragement.

Thanks all. My meter was working, but off a stop or two sometimes. I just sent the CL off to get the meter adjusted. I think I'll be keeping this one for a while so I wanted it to get it working as best as i could.
