New M2 to me - advice on viewfinder separation

Hi all,

Bought a clean M2 from Tamarkin. The camera operates smoothly. I do see separation in the viewfinder, but when shooting I have not experienced any problems or inconvenience. Just wondering if people would recommend bringing this up to Tamarkin. Their customer service is stellar of course, so I'm not worried about their helpfulness. I did pay a premium for the camera though: should I worry about this deteriorating quickly over time?

I'd let Dan know and he'll make it right.

In my experience viewfinder separation happens very slowly and then all at once.

Just my 0.02.

This is also my experience. I had a M2 viewfinder separate on me. I didn't notice any signs of separation and it just happened one day. However, it's not really the kind of problem that you can fix until it occurs, afaik. Youxin Ye (among others) is able to recement the main prism on a M2.

There's no way I would accept that. Unless the price you paid was commensurate I'd return it.
