Well it is here...the M6 in all its cool class. I am so happy. It cost me a trade of 2 baskets of other cameras but I feel uplifted and ready to take on the world.....but I have a question(s): Will the LTM lenses from my Bessa R system work well with the M adapters? I have a Skopar 35 and an old Leica Summarite 50, 1.5. I can't afford a new lens at this time and this may be the only option for me.

If I get a new M lens from The Voiltlander folks, which would you get---the 40mm 1.4 or the 50mm 1.5.
Thanks

Yep - your LTM lenses should work fine with the M. I use a CV 35/2.5 with my M4 and one of the adapters from Cameraquest. Get the right adapter and it even brings up the right framelines in the viewfinder.

If you already have a 35mm, I'd skip the 40 and jump to a 50, or even longer.

Adapters work just fine. Get a 35/135 and a 50/75 and all your lenses will be covered. The Voigtlander 50 f1.5 Nokton is also screw mount so you'd still need an adapter for that. Personally I'd go for "the glow" and stick with the Summarit.

The Nokton is good but large, and, as mentioned, you will need an ltm to m adapter. If you can swing the Nokton new you might want to check out a used summicron, preferably 3rd generation or later.

The lenses that you have are fine. I wouldn't bother upgrading them, but rather add to your arsenal like a 21 or a 90mm. I had the 50 nokton looking for extra speed, but it was just too big. The beauty of the Leica is that you gain an extra stop because you can hand hold at a slower speed.

Get out and shoot.
