Welcome, Mike!

Glad to see another friend from the Olympus OM group! Seems a lot of us that appreciate OMs also are into RFs.

It's nice to hear that, George. I started a NW thread on PNet 2 days ago for OM photos, and I was beginning to think no one else uses them anymore!

Welcome, Mike!

I'm the guy who recommended Mike check us out. I'm glad you're all giving your normally-warm welcome. I'd also love to hear some details comparing the VI-L and the P, since Joe's (P)ropoganda is making me to look on the Canon side of the world.

cheers

Yes, despite our advice, Mark is still having problems thinking of how to get the missus to accept the new M2 he will be adopting in the near future.
ManGo - 'the missus' has suggested that a donation of ten or twenty quid from each of you would go a long way to rehabilitating me. She is a doctor - she should know these things.

Please do PM me for my Paypal account.

😀 😀

/edit: she actually did, as well! 😱

Howdy from rainy Wyoming;

It is nice to have a bit of rain when the annual precipitation averages less than 25cm.

There seems to be a discussion about Canon P vs. VI going on now days.
I like both, but since I wear tri-focals or progressive lenses, I prefer the P most of the time. The VI-L finder is, as someone said earlier, a bit squinty. It is not nearly as difficult as the III, IIIa however. My P seems a bit brighter but the RF on the VI-L is a bit easier to see in some light conditions. In use, I usually have a 35 or 100 on the P and 50f1.2 on the VI-L.

In my opinion, the VI and the P are the best built and most functional of all the Canon RF's. I have yet to have a 7 or 7s or 7s2 that would take the stresses of hard PJ work.

On another topic, one I am not to mention, the worst selling decision I have made with RF cameras is to sell a Leica M-2 with 35f2.5 Nikor and 90mm Elmar for about $400.00.

Regards, Mike
