I only use my Leica and Exakta lenses on my NEX-7 and also have no interest in using other lenses. I use the camera for family stuff and I'm still using my three Leica film bodies for B&W and will continue to.

Actually, I have moved away from focus peaking again, after giving it a try for a while and just getting too many misses. My subjects are usually not very static (or willing to hold still for a sec), so I focus with the magnifier button.
And the 2nd best adapter is probably the CV one (plus it was available in chrome)...

Other than a Novoflex, can one of you suggest the 2nd best M adapter to buy?
Don't forget the Hawks Factory adapter with the helical that allows Leica lenses to focus closer. I have the first version and find it extremely useful. No problems with infinity focus either. Find em on the bay

Seconded. It's extremely useful for the NEX system if you feel limited by the 0.7m minimum focus on a rangefinder lens.
The effect is more dramatic with wider lenses--I did a quick blog post on it here--http://www.daguerreotyping.com/?p=2112 -- I have to take a lot of quick product shots as part of my job and find the NEX-5N + 28mm Elmarit ASPH and the Hawk's adapter to be excellent for that task, and very portable.

Sometimes I do too and I've found the very best combination for me is the LME helicoid with the Elmarit 24/2.8 on my NEX-7. The 24 is just brilliant on that body.I have to take a lot of quick product shots
